Do you try to write a thank you note anytime someone gives you a special gift, or goes out of their way for you? I know I do, but it’s so hard to come up with thank you card ideas. Not to mention, the time to write them!
Well, I am here to make your life easier, my friend. In this post, I will share thank you card ideas that will help you get those cards in the mail before it seems too late!
The Importance of Writing a Thank You Note
Back in December 2016, about a week after our holiday housewarming party, I wrote thank you notes for each of our housewarming gifts.
As I sat down to write those cards, I was irritated that everything else on my “to-do” list would have to wait until the cards were finished. But, I persisted.
The reason is, the recipient will always appreciate a hand written note. More so, I think, than other ways to say “thank you”. This is because to the recipient, it’s clear that you made the extra effort to sit down and write that note!
In these days of email, texting, and social media messaging, I love receiving handwritten correspondence in the mail. When someone takes the time to send a thank you note or a greeting card for my birthday, it makes me feel extra special. Don’t you agree?

What to Say in a Thank You Note
Whenever I need to write a thank you note, on the way to my desk I am confident that the words will come easily. After all, I love the gift and appreciate the thoughtfulness, so this should not be a difficult task, right?
Well, once I make it to the chair and pick up the pen, it’s often a different story…”What the heck am I going to say?” Serious writer’s block sets in!
