Are you bored to tears with the same Easter decorations you’ve had for the past several years? Do you want to decorate for Spring, but can’t seem to find the motivation to decorate or the time to shop for new Easter decor?
In this post I will share my fave picks for this year’s Easter decorations. I’ll show you my Easter décor, and how just a few irresistably cute items is all you need to update your home for the Easter season.
Spring Decor Update
If your Easter decorations from years past have seen better days, then it’s time for an update. I know, I get it! It’s hard to find the motivation to drag out seasonal decor and take the time to display it if the items don’t excite you.
You really don’t need very many items to decorate for Easter. Just a few of the cutest hand-picked decorations is all you need to update your home for the Spring season. Simply place one or two Easter decorations in the rooms you spend the most time in for everyday living or entertaining.
And don’t forget your front entry door! This is really the most important of all – nothing says “Spring” better than a gorgeous Easter wreath or an adorable door decoration!
My Easter Decorations
This will be our first Easter in our new home, so I had lots of fun shopping for a few new decorations to add to my collection this year! I will share the sources for these items, when available, as well as similar items, throughout the post.
Outdoor Easter Decorations
Front Entry
At our front entry, this cute garden bunny greets guests by the front porch steps. similar
An Easter garden statue, or garden flag, would provide the same effect.
I am in love with this adorable carrot door decoration – it’s whimsical, unique, and fun! similar and similar
Back Porch
Our screened-in porch is the perfect place for this fabric fuzzy bunny bottom! Here, it is protected from the elements, and looks right at home in the plant!
This bunny feet pick is also irresistable, and would look just as cute in your garden or in a large planter.
Also on the porch, this little metal chubby chick adds some color:
Dining Room
This stately bunny similar sits on the buffet table in our dining room, next to a basket of ceramic eggs. similar
These faux chocolate bunnies have been around for years. They have always been a favorite of mine, because they are quite realistic, and I love chocolate! similar
The bunnies are the perfect complement to this tree, filled with the most realistic little pastel eggs! similar and similar
Living Room
In my post on Mardi Gras Decor, I showed you how I displayed colorful Mardi Gras ornaments in a bowl on the console. I really enjoy the monochromatic color scheme in my home, because it is so easy to incorporate pops of color with seasonal decor like this.
Here, I filled the bowl with these embellished Easter eggs. similar and similar
Bar
This Happy Easter wooden block sign is the perfect size to add just a touch of Easter decor in the bar area.
Kitchen
A large Easter basket containing our favorite Easter candy sits on the kitchen counter. I try not to go crazy with the chocolate, but what’s Easter without a traditional Easter basket? Besides, these candies are only available once a year!
In my kitchen, I always use a decorative Wallflowers plug-in from Bath and Body Works. I change both the scent and the plug with the different seasons. Each year, I look forward to displaying this little bunny with a rustic blue-green patina.
In recent years, Bath and Body Works has offered really cute Wallflowers plugs – the seasonal decorative styles are so much nicer than the traditional plain ones!
I also change the decorative towel on my oven handle with each season.
It Takes Just a Few New Easter Decorations to Update your Spring Décor
Are you putting off decorating for Easter? Not feeling it this year?
Well, it may be time to add a few new items to your collection of Easter decorations. However, you really don’t need very much. Just a few fresh, colorful pieces can be enough to get your home ready for Spring and the Easter season.
- Be selective – purchase only the cutest, most irresistable items
- Purchase items that you can easily envision in your home
- Place one or two Easter decorations in each of your main living and entertaining areas
- Dress your entry with attractive garden decor and a wreath or door ornament
Most important of all, don’t forget the entry! Even if you do nothing else to decorate for Spring, a beautiful Easter wreath or door decoration will provide a warm Spring welcome for guests!
